The National History Challenge is a competition that encourages Australian schoolchildren (from Years 5 to 12) to learn more about Australia and its past.
NFAW's National History Challenge Committee (NHCC) is responsible for raising sponsorship funds for the Women's Category Prize of the National History Challenge each year.

BIMA Wear Association Inc Building Fund
Bima Wear Association Inc is a not for profit organisation based on the Tiwi Islands in the NT. Our Association objectives are:
- to reduce poverty and promote the welfare and development of women and girls of the Aboriginal community at Bathurst Island
- to improve the living standards of Tiwi women and girls
- to provide a safe facility for Tiwi women and girls to access support
- to provide programs which facilitate capacity building, education, skill development, economic development and community development
- to foster the preservation and development of traditional and other cultural and recreational activities.
Bima Wear is seeking support for funding to build temporary rental accommodation. These units will assist in our daily work and provide an income to support Bima Wear's existing employment program. Kurruru Indigenous Youth Performing Arts Inc
Kurruru, meaning ‘circle’ in local Kaurna language, is Australia’s only Indigenous youth performing arts company. We are committed to providing quality performing arts opportunities for Indigenous children, young people and their communities across South Australia. Kurruru’s home is situated on Kaurna land in Port Adelaide (15km north west of Adelaide CBD). Kurruru provides an extensive performing arts workshop program, produces award winning performances, engages in significant regional arts and health partnerships, operates the renowned Kurruru Dance Ensemble and other deadly performance troupes, undertakes innovative Kulcha Moves projects that focus on cultural maintenance and continuance using an arts model, and has a presence across South Australia at festivals, community events and through our various partnerships. Kurruru is committed to employing and providing real pathways, mentoring and training opportunities for young Indigenous artists and artsworkers.

Pamela Denoon Lecture Fund
Pamela Denoon was National Coordinator of WEL from 1982-84. She actively lobbied for women’s rights in Canberra during the 1980s and established by bequest the NFAW and the Pamela Denoon Trust. An annual lecture is held in Canberra in her memory.
