NFAW seeks new Board Member
The National Foundation for Australian Women has a vacancy on its Board, and is looking for a generalist Director who supports the work of NFAW.
"NFAW is dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of Australian women," said NFAW President, Kate Gunn. "We need Board Members who are aligned with our goals, and who have the time and ability to work independently within our team."
"The current Directors are located in Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, with two Directors living in rural areas, one in NSW and one in Queensland. Ideally we would like to find a new Director based in Victoria, who would be interested in helping us develop our membership in that State."
The qualities that we look for in our Directors are experience in marketing, lobbying, or developing sponsorship. Strong communication skills are definitely needed."
In particular, we need people who have the capacity to implement ideas and action plans. Our Directors are all active in promoting the work of NFAW, there is no easy ride."
Information about NFAW's activities, aims and governance structure can be found on our website. People who are interested in the position should contact either me or Kate Bosser, NFAW's Secretary."
